Client's Challenge

Following a full store re-fit, the Argos store in Port Talbot required a detailed commercial clean to prepare the sales floor and customer-facing areas for reopening.

Fit Out UK required a specialist contractor capable of delivering a high-presentation standard clean outside of standard fit-out works, ensuring the store was handed over in a condition suitable for immediate retail use.

The cleaning works needed to be completed out of hours, aligned tightly to the reopening programme, and delivered without impacting the final stages of the refurbishment schedule.

Assessment & Planning  

APT ICC engaged directly with Fit Out UK to confirm:

• Reopening deadlines and night-shift working windows

A structured restoration plan was agreed to ensure minimal disruption to remaining fit-out activity, efficient sequencing across the sales floor, and consistent presentation across floors, glazing, and point-of-sale areas.

    Methodology

    APT ICC delivered the works using a phased commercial restoration
    approach:

    1. Floor restoration and buffing
    Sales floor buffed and restored to achieve a uniform, professional finish.

    2. Detail cleaning behind tills and POS zones
    Removal of concealed dust and fit-out residue from high-use operational areas.

    3. Window and frame cleaning
    Glazing and frames cleaned to improve storefront presentation.

    4. Final presentation checks
    Full inspection carried out to confirm handover standards were achieved.
